Most advertising agencies take special pride in seeing their work move on to new audiences, so we have been delighted to see pictures of the Science North Wild Weather exhibition at the Ontario Science Center. Wild Weather was developed by Science North with the plan that Ontario Science Center would be the first of a number of science museums worldwide to feature this exhibition over the next few years.
As Science North’s Agency of Record, we worked with the Science North team that developed Wild Weather along with Reich and Petch, the design firm that oversaw the overall design and construction of this new exhibit. Petryna Advertising was tasked with developing the name and logo for the exhibit, which opened at Science North this summer.
Special exhibitions are important to Science North and many other science centers. In addition to providing new and exciting experiences to Science North visitors, they also represent an important source of revenue through rental to other science museums. By moving from one science center to another over a period of several years, exhibits like Wild Weather also allow science centers to share resources and expertise, providing a richer experience for their visitors.
For an agency, helping to create the image and brand for something completely new is one of the most interesting things we get to do. Seeing that brand spread its wings and fly off to even bigger things makes it even better.
